Prosperity announces a trifecta as finalists in the Australian Accounting Awards

Prosperity is delighted to announce that we have been selected as finalists for Firm of the Year, Partner of the Year, and New Partner of the Year in the prestigious Accountants Daily Australian Accounting Awards.

This is a fantastic achievement for all of us at Prosperity, and in particular for Megan Faraday-Bensley and Gary Dean with their individual recognition. Our Firm of the Year submission focused on our rolling program of strategic initiatives, our aptitude for change and our focus on innovation. Megan is being recognised for her outstanding business partnerships, her focus on building a flexible and dynamic team, and her contribution to the firm’s innovation strategy. Gary’s submission was supported by his business growth and strategy to support this moving forward, as well as his contribution to the Financial Planning profession by providing education and mentoring for grass roots businesses.

Now on its fifth year, the Australian Accounting Awards, in partnership with Thomson Reuters, recognises the exceptional contribution of individuals and accounting firms across 31 categories. Winners from the individual categories will automatically be shortlisted for the coveted Accountants Daily Excellence Award.

“On behalf of the team at Accountants Daily, sincere congratulations to all the deserving finalists in this year’s Australian Accounting Awards,” said Accountants Daily managing editor Katarina Taurian.

“It’s great to see such a diverse mix of firms, from micro-businesses right up to nationwide networks.”

“We are also pleased to be recognising the broader role accountants play in their locales and in the lives of their clients. Accountants are the backbone of small business in Australia, and the community flow-on effect is enormous.”

Allan McKeown, Prosperity’s CEO, said he was delighted with the outcome of the nominations.

“Our shared vision to become the Firm of the Future, our amazing people and our community engagement activities have put us in a strong position for the finals, we should all be very proud of these achievements,” said McKeown.

The winners will be announced at a black-tie awards dinner on 1 June at the Hyatt Regency Sydney.
